CAN YOU SAY SWEEP ?

To say the Angels are off to a great start is truly an understatement .

With the sweep of the Texas Rangers the Angels improved on three weaknesses that hurt the team last year. First, sweeping a series. Last year the Angels seemed to be content with just taking a series. They didn’t have many sweep in 2006. Second, getting runs for their starting pitchers. I can’t remember the starting pitching getting three wins in a row. Third, winning day games. Whenever the Angels would play day games last year it seemed like the pitching would get rocked with home runs. Especially Ervin Santana. It was nice to see Santana and all the Angel starters shut down a very potent Texas line up.

Now the Angels have the A’s coming up.

I know it might be too much to ask but…. wouldn’t it be incredible to see the starting five each be 1 and 0 after their first starts of the season. Has it ever been done before ? The A’s have had their hands full with Seattle.  Hopefully the A’s won’t find their stride until after this weekend .

Keep up the good work Angels. 3 wins, zero losses !!!

KELVIM ESCOBAR GETS THE WIN

Finally, Kelvim Escobar got some run support and the Angels get their second win of the season.  8 runs for Kelvim is like 20 runs for anyone else.

Wins in your own division are very important, even if the season just started. Now lets go for the sweep.
